Founded by Robby Prior, Rotor Motor was set up due to his mother [Rachel Prior] suggesting that he put two adverts in the local newspaper. Knowing Robby's love for breaking things and not rebuilding them, Rachel Suggested that he put two adverts in the local newspaper. One for repairing computers and another for repairing lawnmowers. Paying the money and not thinking much of it, Robby got in his little DS3, sped up the M1 to Nottingham to stay with his then girlfriend (now fiancée). Within a few hours of getting to Nottingham Robby received his first email - this is story all within itself as it was one hell of a first customer!

Jumping into 2024, Robby teamed up with with an acquaintance and secured the lease for a new premises.
